Welcome to our website!

Founded in early 2025, BHQ (Belgian High Quality) Sporthorses is a new yard in the demanding world of warmblood show jumpers.

A love of horses and of show jumping encouraged mother and daughter, Anke Balleux and Charlie Pignatelli, together with Anke’s partner, to start a breeding and training centre for show jumpers.

We breed our young horses ourselves, with great attention to pedigree — in both the sire and the dam line. We deliberately keep our numbers small, so that we know each horse inside out and can advise buyers honestly.
