Welcome to our website!
Founded in early 2025, BHQ (Belgian High Quality) Sporthorses is a new yard in the demanding world of warmblood show jumpers.
A love of horses and of show jumping encouraged mother and daughter, Anke Balleux and Charlie Pignatelli, together with Anke's partner, to start a breeding and training centre for show jumpers.
We breed our young horses ourselves, with great attention to pedigree — in both the sire and the dam line. We deliberately keep our numbers small, so that we know each horse inside out and can advise buyers honestly.
Our story
It began with Emerytt
Our whole story began with the purchase of Emerytt, our first Emerald van 't Ruytershof colt foal.
Sadly, Emerytt left us far too early. What he gave us — the love of breeding and the trust in pedigree — our stable carries on, in every foal that grows up with us.

BHQ Sporthorses is a family project with a small, complementary team. Everyone has their own task, and on several points we work together.
